Electric Shift Motor Sensor

Features

The electric shift system is responsible for the changing the transfer case gear ratio by controlling the electric shift motor(ESM) sensor and distributing torque between front & rear axles specially in 4WD vehicles.
The ESM sensor responds to switch commands and shift to the desired destination by sensing the mode position and communicates to an electric control module.
It is mounted to the motor output gear and provides closed loop electrical feed back either digital or analog type. It gives the driver safety and more convenience to select optimum drive mode faster than mechanical shift system.

- Digital type
Use the on/off binary digital signal according to the specified position, The ECU recognizes the present positions and commands the shift-ability.

- Analog type
It produces a resistance output proportional to the displacement or position.
The resistance element is excited by either DC or AC voltage, and the output voltage is ideally a linear function of the input displacement. Uses the linear analog voltage output coupled to the output of the actuator controlling the present position and shift-ability in accurate angle.
